Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for animal rights. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. Her desire to be an artist was inspired by her upbringing in an New York family of artists. She started as a photography assistant and after that she moved on to modeling and acting. The actress was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in 1990 as a promising young actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world notoriety, and an Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. Within three years she was named the top female box office participant in the entire world. In Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. She was a part of several different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among others. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw got married to three different people.
